Worked on a team of three to develop version 2 of Supply Management Online — a web-based supply chain management application providing online procurement, real-time pricing, inentory availability, and order status information to McKesson’s pharmacy and medical-surgical supply customers.
Created an internal tool that support personnel would use to assist customers with problems they encountered while using SMO. This included password resetting, user information retrieval and update, and a comprehensive suite of tools to allow McKesson staff to review and modify orders in the SMO system.
Implemented a scheduled task to process hourly XML data feeds containing PGA scores and statistics, and store them in NBC’s content management system for display on the Golf section of NBC Sports’ website.
Created a tool to extract articles related to NFL players, teams, and coaches from NBC’s incoming news feeds, and generate a new feed which is used to display news items on the RotoWorld fantasy league site.
Wrote an image handling library used to take high resolution photographs and generate high-quality images of various sizes for use on the NBC Sports website. This library integrated with NBC’s content management system to determine which sizes were needed, and supported both on-demand image rescaling, and pre-generation of all resolutions.
Implemented the official e-commerce site for Bobcat accessories and memorabilia, including tools to manage store categories and inventory, order history, and user profiles. This project included integration with Apache Lucene for full-text search, and Verisign’s PayFlow Pro credit card processor.
Engineered a file management system to integrate with Bobcat’s CMS. This included tools to upload, review, and administer images and other documents for use on the Bobcat Store, bobcat.com, and Bobcat’s corporate intranet.
Developed an online mapping application backed by the University of Minnesota’s MapServer. This system was used to facilitate the sale of LandSat 7 imagery, and included features to navigate the maps, search by political or public land survey data, and extract the desired satellite imagery.

NDVI Analysis
Designed and created a desktop satellite imagery processing application named LandScout. This application provided standard mapping features, as well as powerful GIS and image analysis functions. These included automated shape detection and vectorization, vegetation index calculations, and exports to formats used in a wide array of agricultural equipment.
Engineered a custom Interpolation for the Java Advanced Imaging API that uses Lanczos resampling. This interpolation implementation allows for high-resolution imagery to be scaled down to thumbnail size without the aliasing and visual artifacts prevalent in all of the publically available pure Java image rescaling solutions.
